Rumors Lies & Media Rape: Michelle Bombshell McGee

I’m receiving some questionable comments and emails from people who are interested in the Michelle McGee media circus.

Beer Can Hill is not a celebrity gossip site. I do not interview people for profit and it’s important to me that the people I interact with trust me and my site. I believe that consenting adults are free to live their lives as they see fit, and hopefully learn from their errors when they make them.

I also do not involve myself in the feuds between well-known tattooed women, and I don’t participate in them myself. That kind of crap hurts the tattooed community, and it’s childish. I have no hatred or animosity towards any tattooed public figure, and this is simply because I do not believe everything that I hear or read.

Tattoos and body modification should have nothing to do with negative social politics. Michelle McGee’s tattoos have nothing to do with her alleged personal choices and decisions. Tattoos do not cause women to become sexually aggressive husband poachers. Also? This is 2010. Men are responsible for their own behavior.

I hope that the people who are involved in this mess learn from their mistakes and get help for their problems, because I believe that this type of chaos and misery is unnecessary.

Very Belated Corrections.

An individual using the email address lemooreshop at yahoo.com has advised me that Bullet Proof Tattoo and 92 Proof Tattoo are separate companies/shops. Bullet Proof is in Fresno,California and 92 Proof is in Lemoore,California. Beer Can Hill apologizes for the past misprint.

Also, my friend Christopher’s tattoo artist Thomas can be reached at this website.

Happy Day Of The Dead!

Happy Halloween!

Last night at the Starline.

    Gotta Do This.

It’s been a long morning. It’s humid and nasty outside. My Wordpress platform is acting a fool. I’m having personal issues and I don’t want to share feelings. But I gotta do this.

The good news? I obtained a fourth sponsor and lots of cool people have stopped by here. For all my flaws, I ain’t a quitter.

Introduction To Beer Can Hill’s Day With Blogathon 2009.

I decided to support RAINN in this year’s Blogathon for pretty plain reasons. I worked as a victim advocate and crisis counselor in hospital emergency rooms from 2001 to 2003. People I love with all of my heart have endured incest, rape, and sexual abuse. And I survived sexual violence myself.

I seldom discuss the details about what happened to me. Due to what’s referred to as “burn-out”, I no longer regularly volunteer for the cause and I don’t frequent support forums either. I spend so much time NOT talking about the past, I figured I could set aside one day out of the year to think and blog about the subject in a way that would benefit someone else.

I won’t, however, be blogging specifically about rape every 30 minutes. Who the hell is going to want to read that after two hours ? I certainly don’t want to blog exclusively on the topic either. I’ve noticed that when something really bad happens in a person’s life that sometimes they somehow get tagged with the event. I don’t want that to happen. I’m still Carrie. This is still Beer Can Hill.

From what I understand, people can sponsor me for up to 48 hours after 6 AM PST on July 26. Hopefully you will never need RAINN’s services, but it would be great if they were there for the people who do.

    Tomorrow on the Hill.

I will be participating in Blogathon 2009 in support of RAINN. At the time of this post, I have three sponsors and welcome more before the deadline. 100% of the proceeds go to RAINN. I will be
blogging twice an hour from 6 AM PST July 25, 2009 to 6 AM PST July 26, 2009.

I am in a positive environment.

    Technical Difficulties!

Some of my Wordpress plug-ins were fighting amongst themselves yesterday after a disastrous upgrade. This caused some 404 errors and I apologize for the inconvenience. I am trying out a new theme/layout here on Beer Can Hill and welcome your feedback.

    Update.

My trip to Monterey,California was amazing.

I tested and proved my theory that Carmel weddings need Jack Daniels.

    There were pit bulls.

And I made lots of new friends!

Rusty had an extensive conversation with Friday night’s thunderstorm.

I had a few damaged inches layered and cut off of my hair.

The trumpet vine on is in full bloom.

So is the pecan tree, where I hide the bird bath.

I am trying to grow my own tomatoes.

Jennie loves supervising the yard work.

And, unlike the rest of us on Beer Can Hill, Merlin loves the hot weather.

    Tomorrow On Beer Can Hill!

My interview with Erik Sprague The Lizard Man will be up!

Today In Animal Rights Related Politics….

It’s no secret I’m a sucker for all creatures that are not human. I’m on most of the major animal rights organizations’ mailing lists. Lots of interesting stuff has been going on with these groups lately. I’m not a hardcore vegan or environmentalist but I do try not to trample on the planet and be fair to the animals in my care.

In theory, I like PETA’s Ink Not Mink campaign. I think it’s cool that people like Carey Hart, Tommy Lee, and the Suicide Girls are willing to stand up for animals. I personally think that it is wasteful and ridiculous for non-indigenous people to wear fur, whether or not the animals are raised on a farm or poached.

I have a lot of mixed feelings about groups like PETA and ALF though. They’ve done some good things….and then they’ve done some stuff that I don’t like and would not involve myself in. Zealots ruin everything, no matter what the cause or original idea is.

When I had my first full time job I regularly donated to the Animal Protection Institute. I no longer do this because of their campaigns against people who care for exotic animals. I don’t think that animals should be sold in stores or bred on massive levels.

I also don’t think that I should be ostracized or sent to jail for taking in Wally (rehabbed sparrow), Jennie (rehomed yellow-collared macaw), or Merlin (sulcata tortoise). I did buy my cockatiels and Rusty (Illiger’s macaw) from professional bird specialists, and oh god just call 911 on me because they live better than some of the children in my neighborhood!

I really want to read Monica Engebretson’s Lucky The Lorikeet. Lorikeets are adorable but they difficult birds to keep in captivity. But it seems like buying from an organization that I object to (and that objects to me) would be hypocritical.

I think it’s important to listen and think whenever any political group is riled up about something. Knee-jerk reactions hurt us all.

    State Of The Hill.

Offline life has been very hectic for me since my return from the coast. Beer Can Hill is not dying out, its owner just has some other issues that must be dealt with.

I am selling books & DVDs via Amazon. I have been a vendor with them for almost a decade and have a good reputation. Amazon handles your billing information. All items are AS IS and shipped in recycled envelopes. Tobacco is not smoked in my home and while I do run an allergen filtration system, there may be parrot dander.

Two interviews are coming out soon, as well as some other interesting things. I appreciate everyone that visits and comments here daily, and I appreciate your patience at this time.

Another Reason Why Angela Is Awesome.

    [caption id="" align="aligncenter" width="320" caption="Sorry y'all, she's spoken for!"][/caption]

My friend Angela kicks ass at everything she does. And she rescued two dogs from the pound and has helped them recover from their past owners!

I love both of her dogs, but I have a soft spot for German Shepherds. I had two when I was a kid and also a GS/wolf hybrid. If I settle down someday I’d like to adopt one. But I’ve got to make sure that I can find one that can live with Merlin.
